Augusta Metcalfe Student Art Competition Awards Ceremony

The awards ceremony for the student art competition is planned for Friday, November 7, 2008 from 10:00 until 2:00 on the grounds of the Break O’Day Farm and Metcalfe Museum .  Your attendance as a parent or educator will support the entrants' decision to express themselves.   The museum store will be open for those who wish to shop.  Bring a sack lunch and drink.   The museum will furnish a birthday cake honoring nationally renown artist Augusta Metcalfe (1881-1971) on her 127^th birthday!  The prospective schedule of events includes:  

10:00  Welcome

           Presentation of Student Awards

           Art Interpretation Lecture

 11:00  Guided Art Activity/Nature Hike/Studio/Gallery Tours

 12:00   Lunch on your own (bring sack lunch and a drink)

12:30    Augusta Metcalfe's 126th Birthday Cake

 1:00   Guided Art Activity/Nature Hike/Studio/Gallery Tours

 2:00   Ceremony Concludes
