Spring '25 Exhibitor - Underwood Art
Ashley Underwood is the artist behind Underwood Art. She grew up in a very small community in the panhandle of Oklahoma, and was always surrounded by artists. Her family consists of musicians and painters, and every day she walked outside there was some new incredible sunrise or sunset to be in awe of. Her grandmother was an oil painter, and she painted these incredible landscapes that would take Ashley's breath away. She was so inspired by her, and still has many of her pieces hanging in her home today. Ashley is pleased to share some of her pieces with you in this exhibit.
She began painting more for set design in the theatre than anything, and that morphed into putting some paint on a canvas one day. Much like Augusta, Ashley is self-taught, but she feels that term tends to write off the incredible people who have taught her through their advice and support! She enjoys trying all kinds of different styles and mediums, but in this exhibit viewers will see mostly acrylic florals or landscapes with a few abstract pieces thrown in. She stated she is so grateful for the support of her family and friends, and is always so honored when seeing one of her pieces in a home or office. Ashley paints because she loves it, and enjoys trying different things - sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t, but the learning process often feels as important as the finished product.

Summer '25 Exhibitor - Cheyenne Circle of Care
The summer exhibit was a joint showcase between the Metcalfe Museum and the Cheyenne Circle of Care. Functioning as a dedicated fundraiser, the event was designed to support local infrastructure through the power of art.
The primary goal of the exhibit was to raise essential funds, with all profits from the sale of the artwork going directly back to the Circle of Care. These proceeds were specifically earmarked to fund a new roof for the organization's building. By addressing this urgent need, the exhibit ensured that the facility could safely continue housing its vital community programs. Visitors had the opportunity to view and purchase unique pieces while contributing to a lasting local impact. The collaboration highlighted the shared commitment of both organizations to uplifting the neighborhood, turning a seasonal art display into a tangible investment in the community's future.
